TrapTrackerDT is a high-performance batch processing tool for camera-trap image analysis. Point it at a folder of images or videos and it will automatically run AI species detection, generate annotated outputs, and produce a structured detections.csv file that can be used for reporting, auditing, and downstream analysis. It’s designed to help conservationists and researchers process large volumes of imagery quickly and consistently—reducing manual workload while improving the reliability of species records.
Built by LJMU Conservation AI, TrapTrackerDT supports multiple AI models (including UK mammals, Sub-Saharan African mammals, and North American mammals) and is optimised for Windows 11 systems with NVIDIA GPUs, with automatic fallback to CPU if a GPU isn’t available. The application is free for non-commercial use and released under a Creative Commons license, making it ideal for conservation organisations, academic projects, and citizen-science monitoring programmes.
